Part 15 of my detailed discussion of Windows Mobile 6.5; In this video I demonstrate an uber cool feature, HTC’s TouchFLO 3d 2.5 animated weather on my T-Mobile Touch Pro2.! To be called HTC Sense when it comes out on the HD2 superphone. Update: Here’s a link to MS announcement of 6.5 and other applications: www.microsoft.com Basically you can tell TouchFLO to run animated weather on your Today screen. You set how often you want the phone to check weather (every 15 minutes minimum) and it will check the weather at that interval. That would be cool enough, but what it does while downloading the weather is animate the conditions across the phone’s display. So far I have see “partly cloudy” which sends clouds across the entire screen; “sunny” that shoots sun rays outward from a yellow sun and “clear at night” that has a beaming moon. I can hardly wait for rain. If it is anything like my weather Easter egg (see my video) I expect there to be rain drops on my screen. And if there’s snow, Touch FLO appears capable of showing falling snow flakes. Update: I have combined into this one video all the weather conditions I have seen and also at the end I run the weather Easter egg for you. All in all a fantastic and fun little feature.
